H I S T O R Y
Derek was born into a pack called NightWalkers. The male was born into the rank of Omega, He had to learn to savange for food & do what he had to do to survive. As a teen the male earned the trait of being flirtatous, He began to sweet talk others to get a share of the prey. Time went on & Derek learned to master this trait. With being troublesome this caused some issues for Derek. The males of the pack didn't really apericate this trait & would fight him trying to put him in his place. Which most often did work but this taught Derek how to fight. Eventually with alot of pratice & losses he began to pick up the others tatics & moves. Bringing him higher up into the ranks. Yet, Derek became overly confident & decided to challenge the pack's Alpha. Turned out to be a big mistake. Derek lost & was exiled from the pack. The brute became a loner & searched for other packs, He came across Intrepidus & joined. Since then not much has changed from his personality yet except to be more sympathetic & learning how to respect others. Derek plans on staying in this pack for as long as he can, Lets just hope his temper doesn't ruin it for him! Aha.

Fear of Pups 9/10
Derek was pup sitting at one point in his life, He loved pups. Something went terriblely wrong. As he was playing Derek lost his balance and tripped over the pup & fell directly on top of it. Crushing and killing the pup idemediately. Panicked he got up, to check on the pup realizing it was dead he took a step backwards away from it but as he did he had stepped on another pup. Crushing its spine by Derek's massive weight. He was horrified completely stricken with terror and grief. Shortly after the mother came along & saw what he had done. The rage filled mother wasted no time & attacked Derek. He felt so guilty, Derek allowed the frenzy mother to beat him repeatedly thinking he was dead she left him there.
Since then Derek gets anxiety around pups. He's extremely cautious and gentle around them. Yet once comfortable enough he will be the pup's best friend. Derek will make a perfect father. He adores pups once comfortable with them.
Temper 10/10
This is Derek's hugest problem, He suffers with temper issues from a very young age. At the age of 7 months a pup had said something about his parents and brother. Derek completely lost it and began to kill his packmate, He wouldn't have stopped unless his brother had pulled him off. From that moment on he knew that this would be a problem.
There a levels to his temper. First stage is irritation, he will get very snippy aggressive remarks. Second stage is anger, Derek will begin to show his teeth he will psychically show that he's threatening. Third stage is fury Derek will have bitten you or tried to at least. this stage is very short only lasts until the second hit but with in this window time this is the only opportunity to calm him down. Fourth stage is Rage all hell as broken loose. There is no stopping him at this point, nothing matters but his target. Even if his own life is in danger Derek will continue to try to kill what ever had aggravated him in the first place. Don't try to stop him at this point, you will be in danger regardless how well you know him. Derek will try to kill you also. He has no limits at this stage everything near him is a target.
Derek remembers everything afterwards. He feels completely guilty to any harm he's done to anyone because it is not his true nature. He will began to go into a spiral of depression and guilt it takes him a while to get out of it.
Derek is completely aware of his problem, he's desperately tried to fix it. A few things that work are Breathing techniques. Once he's told himself to breath he will calm down. Other one that helps is laying down he will close his eyes covering his cranuim with his paws Derek focuses on his heart rate attempting to slow it down. These are the only things that he's figured out so far that works.
Emotional Attachment9/10 8/10
Unfortunately Derek has seen a lot of death in his life time. He has experienced plenty of heartache and betrayal causing him to turn off any negative emotion. Derek doesn't feel emotional pain causing it to become extremely difficult to become emotionally attached to someone. Derek does feel positive emotion and makes it clear that he does with his friendly attitude towards others.
Derek doesn't feel grief or sympahty. He thinks it's weak. Derek's had his fair share of grief and sympathy towards others. Its taken a emotional toll on him, He had grown tired of it resulting in the shut off of his feelings.
He's attempting to feel the unwanted emotions again, its been a slow progress. Derek doesn't have a strategy only when emotionally things happen he tries to tear that barrier down. Recently it was successful slightly he did feel negative emotions. It's going to take time.
His father Mikael 8/10
His father Mikael scares the living daylight out of Derek. Derek's father was highly abusive towards his offspring. Constantly sparred them against each other & themselves. Despite their yelps & merciful begging to end the spar his father wouldn't listen. Mikael was power hungry he showed no sympathy for anyone. His father was sadistic belived that his offspring needed to feel pain & torchure in order to become strong despite their age.
There was no kind love towards them. Only hatred & decipline, Derek was Mikeal's least favorite. He didn't always particularlly did what his father told him to & would lash out at times against him. When ever Derek did so, he'd get beaten relentlessly. Over his puphood Derek learned to fear his father and to fear that he'd be just like him(which he wont). Derek hates his father with a burning passion to what he's done to him & his siblings. He would never act out against him because of the fear of him getting beaten or killed.
The status of Mikeal remains unknown. Derek doesn't know if he's alive or not. Mikeal turned and left one day in the middle of the night setting off for a hunt. So, he lives with a constant fear that one day his father will return & let mayhem loose on to him.
