Vestille
Vestille had a normal puphood. He was born to the alphas, Vain and Vale, and was part of their first litter. He was not only born as the only male of the litter, but also as the runt. He was a frail little thing, and being as such, his sisters took it upon themselves to protect him, bringing him food, and huddling together with him when the weather was chilly. At 2 years, Vestille had made an amazing transition from the tiny, weak pup he once was, into a male with great strength and size. This was obviously from his father’s side of the family. At becoming a young adult, he made the decision to leave his family’s pack to start his own life. His father and mother praised his decision while his is sisters on the other hand did not, and they worried for their baby brother at the thought of him being out on his own. Despite their arguing they gave in at last, realizing they couldn’t stop him. His family bid him farewell with smiles on their faces as their youngest left to start a new chapter in his life.
Traveling south from his family’s territory, he spent the next 2 months scouting the land, checking for any traces of other packs and their territories, hoping to avoid them at that time. It was during this that he met a female. Talia was her name. She was a white wolf with beautiful blue eyes, and a black, star shaped patch of fur on her chest. She had been scouting the edges of her pack’s territory when she had a run in with Vestille. She was a feisty one, despite her calm appearance. Vest was immediately infatuated with her. They spent day after day with each other after that meeting, and eventually the two of them wanted to start their own family.
Finding a rocky den nestled in brush that shielded it from the rest of the world, and claiming their own territory, they had what they needed to keep their future pups safe. 2 months had passed, and they were getting closer to meeting their children. In celebration for the spectacular moment, Vestille excitedly nuzzled her before darting out of their hideaway to bring back a glorious meal for his Talia.
Hours had passed, and seeing as the sun was beginning to set, Vest realized the hunt hadn’t gone as quick as he had planned. He imagined Talia was probably worried sick about him by now. Grabbing more than a mouthful of meat from his kill, he headed back home with his head held high.
The sight he was greeted with was not what he had been expecting. Talia wasn’t outside to greet him like she normally did. Moving closer to their den’s entrance, traces of blood could be seen, painting the dirt as it lead further in. As he reached the den’s center, standing over Talia’s lifeless body was a wolf. Vest’s vision went red as he charged at the enemy. This stranger dodged his attack, and darted out of the den. Vestille continued his chase until the stranger stopped in a familiar area. He had led him back to Talia’s pack territory. This ‘stranger’ was the alpha, and was supposed to be Talia’s mate, but thanks to her chance encounter with Vest, she had abandoned her pack and any possibility to be with the alpha. After Talia abandoned the pack, Alpha (as Vest calls him, since he didn’t care to learn his name) considered his ‘mate to be’ a traitor, and the only thing a traitor was worth receiving was death. He purposely stole not only Talia’s life, but her offspring’s as well, and watched Vestille writhe in anger and sadness. As much as Vestille wanted revenge, he would never survive an assault by the whole pack, and angrily made the decision of retreating.
It’s been 3 years since that horrible event.
Because of that incident, Vestille distrusts other wolves or canines in general. He has gone ‘lone wolf’ since then, and has avoided coming into contact with any packs. Not only has it effected his relations with packs, it has also caused him to reject the idea of ever finding another mate. The loss he endured was too great, and it's something he never wishes to experience again.
