On a misty evening in the remote regions of Eurasia, a small pup was born. Kalis was her name. (like the double-edged sword) It was inspired by her snappy attitude. The dame was equipped with wavy markings and a rather small stature. She'd always let her temper get the best of her and get into unnecessary fights. Comments on her size sent her up the wall- she hated being considered less than the other wolves in her pack. She hated feeling like her size was a handicap.
Furthermore, she made quite a few enemies with her ill-behavior. Kalis developed some trust issues and usually prefers /not/ to engage in conversation. This stirred from a particular incident where two older wolves dangled her from a cliff overhang, calling her names and threatening to drop her. Since then, she has pushed herself to train- to be able to care for herself, to defend herself. Despite that, she is still weak compared to most-- physically and mentally.
She was called many things; "Runt", "Shorty", "Weakling", "Hot-head". Her mother would always refer to her as a "Brat", never failing to tell her she was the reason that her father left them. She always said that if Kalis hadn't been born- he would still be with them. If she hadn't been so weak, if she hadn't been so needy-- the bastard would still be there, not with some other bitch. Everything was her fault. Kalis can't help but feel the need to prove her self worth, to show she's just not another girl from a broken home.
Her past affects her judgement- leaving her skeptical of most and not eager to make friends. She feels caring holds her back- it's not worth it to be hurt anymore. The stinging feeling lasts longer than the so called bliss times with others. Perhaps a few canines could change her mind?
