☽ Personality ☾
She is an innocent, go happy, pure of heart lil' soul. Full of vigor and a love for life. Delicate in nature and just as fragile as glass, one who tries to befriend the gal will notice she seems like a damsel needing protection. And you've no idea how correct that gut feeling is. Any small thing can set Saleen off and make her want to shy away into a corner, feeling safe in solitude. But she is just as easy to get the best out of, simply ask her for help or invite her to play. The joy that exudes from her soul will be both palpable and contagious. Often times a play session will leave someone feeling fantastic, like a therapeutic massage. But it can also be something small, simply ask her to be a listening ear to any problem you may face. Though Saleen is easily distracted and finds it difficult to sit still, she can overcome her usual hindering quirks if for someone else. She lives to serve and loves to make anyone else smile. Since she feels amazing after helping someone else, she will also willingly let anyone else help her. Because she wants them to feel great for helping someone, too. When it comes to even the most simplistic of tasks, she will struggle, she truly believes she is useless. But she is not a defeatist, even if she cannot do something the fifth time, she will not give up until she gets it right. Anyone who trains Saleen will find the struggle is getting her to maintain focus, but once trust is formed, she will be a great student.
Speaking of trust; the teen is a little too quick to trust. Often times it takes two interactions for trust to be solid on her part. The nicest of individuals, regardless of their stature, coloration, or age, will have her trust after just meeting. Her eyes can 'see past the bullshit' and see you for who you are. She may be easy to fool with everyday pranks, but she can see how much someone truly wanted to upset her, or bond with her. She can see ulterior motives, as the saying goes. Her soul has the acute ability to 'read souls' and she will latch on to souls that don't openly seek to hurt hers.
☽ History ☾
Saleen was raised in a typical realistic pack. ( All based on the knowledge I obtained from a two hour documentary on wolves. The research done on this pack spanned three years. ) She was born in the second litter, and was the last born. A legit runt, she has five older brothers, two of which born with her, and had one older sister who did not survive the first week. Her pup hood was typical, but because she had been born so small and weak, she was also a late bloomer. Three months is the age in which pups leave the den, but at that age Saleen still couldn't walk. She didn't leave the den until four months of age, and even then she didn't stray far from the den entrance in case there was ever danger. Luck almost seemed to be on her side, for at seven months, she and her brothers were finally old enough for their first hunt. It is a tradition passed down for generations to come, and she was so excited. But the family quickly learned her late bloomer ways are actually some sort of curse, their youngest was deemed the Walking Hazard but this was said... Out of love.
Perhaps this is why Saleen can be so loving and genuinely accepting of most souls and ways of living. Her family may have picked fun at her misfortune in almost everything but never did they mistreat her. She was never denied the right to hunt with everyone, in fact she was always invited to join in the hunts when she didn't want to. When she tried to play, unless someone was sick, injured, or exhausted, her family would always wag their tail and play. She was included in every pack howl even though her howl could never be heard, every snuggle session she was dead center. Her family truly loved her with all her faults. She learned their unconditional love but was blessed to never keep unconditional love for just family. She learned to gift this unyielding love to /anyone/ that will accept her for who she is.
Saleen was never asked to leave the pack. In fact the day she chose to leave, the pack was very sad. The call of the wild comes to most wolves around age two, and very few can ignore it. However, Saleen saw two of her brothers heeding the call, and though she was young, she followed in suit. Everyone wanted her to stay, but none had the heart to ask the accepting of everyone Saleen to swallow what she wanted for them. Because they knew she would stay if they asked. She did have a heavy heart, but when she did take those last stumbling steps out of her birth territory, she never looked back.
I did have Saleen in one pack before she joined PI. I don't remember the name, but I do remember she latched onto three members of the pack, one being the Alphess. And I do recall a few members openly making fun of her stutter. This is why Saleen, especially when speaking to strangers, doesn't speak much. She is scared of being teased again.
☽ Her Appearance ☾
Saleen is a late bloomer and a teen. She is still growing but will stop by the time she's two. She also won't grow much larger. She is dark gray, white, and every shade in between. Except for her forest green eyes and her turquoise mane. I might get her a preset one day because I want her face to be white, but her default markings otherwise are great and I love her mane. It's more blue during the day and more of a sea green at night.

☽ Qualities ☾
Leadership: Saleen, obviously, can't lead for crap. But ask her to teach someone how to play a game, and she glows. She will be an incredibly patient, and very encouraging teacher who will say you can do no wrong as long as you try.
Wisdom: Same as ^. Ask her about fun, and you'll see she actually has some smarts goin' on in her brain.
Kindness: Very few souls will be as kind as Saleen. As long as no one has upset her, the kindness she holds will know no bounds.
Selfish: Same as ^. Never will she put herself first, unless she needs to take care of herself in order to help someone else.
Trusting: Depending on how nice your character is, she will trust you within three interactions. She is very quick to trust but the trust is also instant; either she trusts you 100%, you're still trying to earn it, or she doesn't trust you.
Loyal: Saleen is loyal to a fault because she's never been truly wronged by anyone. She does not know that deceit and cunning exist. She isn't aware wolves will befriend someone of power just to have that power on their side. So if you have her trust you have her loyalty, and she will not have any guard against you, because she just doesn't know better.
Shyness: On her shy days she truly wants to be alone. Listening to others talk or watching them have fun from a safe distance is as far as she wants to go for interaction. She may be approached and she is too kind to ever ask someone to leave her alone. On days when she feels braver, however, she hates being alone. On days when she feels both ( Which is often ) she will struggle and feel conflicted. She'll need help for these days.
Mercy: She has never been physically or severely hurt. But she has been teased and she knows she doesn't like to feel that way. She will never hope anything related to that feeling on anyone. So she is merciful beyond logical explanation.
Selfless: Pretty self explanatory when someone understands just how loving Saleen is.
☽ Three Strike System ☾
Saleen may seem painfully pure, kind, loving, and all that good stuff. But clearly, she has her limits. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. But Saleen gives someone /one/ more chance more than that. She truly believes everyone deserves a second chance, so in her mind, 'everyone deserves a second chance to fool me or prove me right.' Saleen is a ride to die soul. She doesn't just make friends because it's fun, she makes friends because she truly cares and wants to be in their life until death. And she knows no one is perfect, so she tries to give so many chances. Understand though, if you've used up your first three strikes, you will have to work to get the trust back. And if you've hit your third strike twice, you're done. Saleen can't be so loving if she doesn't love herself, and she won't open herself up to be hurt so badly a third time.
How do you earn strikes? Be mean, for one. Call her such terrible names, make fun of her stutters. Give her a mean nickname. Make promises and break them. Go behind her back somehow. Prank her poorly ( Ex; convince her to hunt but then abandon her in her time of need. ) Then there's the obvious; physically attack her. Anything that will test the pure soul to trust you greatly will earn a strike. And it'll take serious time and effort to earn it back.
