History
Dyami was born to a small family, with a mother, father, and his brother and sister. He and his siblings were triplets, with Dyami being the eldest by mere seconds, sister the second oldest, and brother the youngest. They were all named after animals that represented the sky, sea, and earth. Dyami was titled after an eagle, for his eyes gleamed with blue freedom like the sky the bird flew in. Haloke, the sister, was named after the beautiful salmon after her colorful pelt. And finally Ayani, the brother, was named after the buffalo, with how he took to the earth so quickly. They lived and traveled together, a close knit family with their loving mother and distant father. Unfortunately, their family would become split up due to a fierce storm, unlucky timing, and a cowardous father. While traveling, a tremendous storm descended upon their small party, terrifying the pups who hid beneath their mother as they searched for shelter. They came across a river during their search, the water raging under the fierce winds of the storm. Their father urged the family to cross the river using a fallen log that bridged the two sides of the river. The mother protested, but after much arguing and desperation find shelter for the pups, she relented. They were crossing when Dyami slipped and tumbled into the rolling river. The dark waters swallowed him up and he struggled to the surface. Breaching into air he called for his family, fear freezing him more than the chilled water. The last thing he saw was his father turned his back on him and pushing the rest of the despairing family across the log and to safety, abandoning his son.
It was a miracle that Dyami survived, washing onto shore far from his family. Left alone he took to scavenging for survival and hiding from other predators. He learned quickly how to hide from large predator birds, what plants to avoid to not get sick, and how to get away with scavenging food from bigger predators. It was months later that he came to close to human towns, and faced the consequences of that. While out scavenging, he was caught by a group of drunk teenagers who were out messing around by an abandoned cabin. Out of malicious curiosity, and since the building was going to be destroyed anyway, the teenagers decided to see if the wolf pup could escape a burning building. They locked Dyami into the cabin and set it on fire. Dyami was terrified, struggling to find a way out, yipping with fear as he ran around in desperation. The room he was in filled with smoke as sparks and flames lashed at him whenever he got close. Dyami managed to clamber onto higher ground to throw himself out of a window and into clean air. Unfortunately he had been inside for too long, long enough for a majority of his face and body to be burned. He fled as fast as he could, choking and wheezing on lingering smoke and struggling to see through blurry vision. He managed to survive once again.
It was a long time after the fire, Dyami now an adult, that he came across yet another obstacle. He was captured by humans once again, this time to be used in dog fights. He fought endlessly, pushing to survive this like the previous times. It was here he learned how to fight, and found his first love. A dog that was also stuck in this endless torture. Unfortunately, he didn't survive, leaving Dyami alone once more. The days blurred together until he managed to escape a year later, sporting new scars and more loss of innocence. He took to delving deep into forests to escape and find somewhere he can stay without worrying about being killed in mere hours. It was then he found the Intrepidus Pack. Accepted into their ranks, he threw his entire self and being into proving his worth to the other pack members. He mostly kept to himself, participated in training, and did what he was told. It was in this pack that he found someone to love. Korobe, another hurting soul they he felt he could bond with. With Korobe, Dyami grew to become fiercely loyal to the pack, finding a family without the need for blood. And he will continue to give his life for his family.
