Clingy: After a childhood accident, Wren is compelled to cling to anyone who she becomes close to. She does not wish to see them leave her sights and must know what is going on with the other because she does not want to risk losing them. Wren finds that being clingy, although annoying, gives her comfort and a sense of control over her life.
Ambitious: Wren grew up most of her childhood as the only female of the litter with two other males. She was always out to prove herself and enjoys impressing those around her.
Wren was fortunate to grow up with two loving parents who were knowledgeable in fishing and herbal medicine. They were not experts but did know the basics in which were taught to her. Her mother Maggie was more reserved than her father but would do anything for her family and was always there to comfort her offspring when they were in need or just needed someone to talk to. Marcus, her father was very outgoing and talkative. But, was very aware of when he was annoying others with his blabbering mouth and always knew how to cheer someone up. He held high standards for his offspring which for the majority of the time helped them improve themselves as individuals but his lack of praise often made his offspring feel as if they were not ever good enough.
Wren was closest to Illinova, her sister, and they were always together. The two could not be separated and could always be found doing things together. The sisters would often be challenging their brothers in different games, competing to be the best of the best. Frequently, they'd get in trouble for being to rough with each other or messing things up, particularly by getting distracted by each other. Although sibling rivalry was there, Wren had always loved her brothers and sister with all her heart. She assumed they did as well.
Things changed dramatically after a childhood accident which costed her sister's life and is the reason for her leaving the family. The siblings were playing a game of tag, which, like normal, got way out of hand. Wren was trying to wrestle Eren to the ground because he was the fastest due to his smaller size. She wanted to protect Illinovia from him first. Wren was winning, Walter was too slow to catch her swift sister and the two had run off. Her sister's howling taunting Walter, the noise of Illinovia's howling fading quickly as she ran off into the trees nearby. Eren was laying on the ground, pinned by Wren. The two fought to catch their breathe and before Wren could say anything about him being a slow poke, Eren landed a blow to her throat. Coughing , Wren stumbled backwards, trying to steady her breathing. Eren snagged the moment and escaped tearing after the other two.
Once she had caught her breath, Wren ran in the direction they disappeared. The trees would eventually give way to a clearing where the tall cliff stood. Her eyes fell upon Walter who had Illinova cornered at the edge of the cliff. This is usually how things ended. Someone got cornered and the winner was declared. Eren was sprinting towards Illinovia and Walter when he abruptly tripped over a gnarly root sticking out from the ground. He tumbled right into Illinovia sending her right over. There was a screech and then a loud yell. Wren was still running over, but it seemed like time had slowed. Heart racing, Wren watched as Walter clung to his brother Eren who was hanging on the edge of the cliff. As Wren reached her brothers, Walter had yanked his brother up onto the ground. They were both panting heavily, in shock from the traumatic event. Wren could hear the blood pounding in her ears and raced to the edge of the cliff where to her horror her sister Illinovia laid perfectly still in an awkward position.
Wren believes that Illinovia died because of Walter and Eren and has never forgiven them for it. Although it tuly was an accident and there was no way they could of saved Illinovia, she is upset at the fact that Walter saved Eren and not Illinovia. Hurt by the loss of one of her closest friend and sister, a wedge soon formed between Wren and her brothers. Even with frequent talks with her parents, she still blamed her brothers, leaving the family eventually to live on her own.
