Backstory
Bizmarcian wolf pack
The Bizmarcian wolf pack, which Razid Tengku was born into, was known in it's region for it's size, unique training methods and lethal skirmishes.
Razid was born together with his two brothers and one sister. Jason, Chan and Damia. His mother wouldn't recover from birth. She and his brother Jason passed from sickness a month later. Imran Tengku, the father of the now three wolves was a hunter who held only little interest in the three, rarely showing up to see them. By pack law, a adoptive mother was chosen at random and forced to raise the three siblings together with her own litter. Not being her natural offspring, they were emotionally neglected. This emotional neglect eventually caused Chan Damia and Razid to become troublemakers within their first 15 months of life.
The trios unlawful behaviour became so troublesome for the pack that they were split and separated from eachother, each being assigned to a mentor. Razid's mentor was an elder who had previously been one of the packs Jesters. Instead of trying to tame Raz and inflicting rules, he managed to spark the young wolf's interest for singing, teaching him songs and telling him stories packed with wisdom in hope that some of it would be soaked up by the youngster. Razid's behaviour made a full turn. He now set himself goals to work towards, no longer wandering the packs territory aimlessly until he found himself in trouble. In addition, he now found himself more socially capable, finally managing to find friends within the pack.
Combat training was the largest part of the strict 18 month training program that begins in the second year of life for a Bizmarcian wolf. In particular, the training specifies combat on fights in groups of two, teaching how teamwork and trust towards each other can make the difference between life and death in battle. The unique strategy consisted of one wolf claiming the Conductor and the other taking the Escort role.
The Escort was the physically weaker wolf. They act as a scout for the Conductor during trials. When combat initiates, it is the Escorts job to take a lowered position next to their ally, shield their throat, buy them time, as well as preventing attacks from behind. The Conductor on the other hand is the Juggernaut of the team, usually being gifted with a large physique. Their job is to save up all energy until combat, where he or she would then deal the serious damage, overpowering the opponents.
During Razid's 16th month of training, the forced seperation between the siblings was finally disbanded. Unlike himself, the two hadn't changed their mindset or behaviour. Chan and Damia attempted to groom Razid back into their old ways, but Razid persisted. When this didn't work, Chan and Damia tricked him into joining them on stealing the jewel necklace of the Alpha. Razid was outraged at his siblings when he realised what they had stolen. That same night, he took the necklace off of them and attempted to bring it back to it's original owner without being noticed.
However, Raz was caught in the act of bringing the necklace back, the witnesses believing they had just caught him stealing it. Infront of the packs tribunal, Razid was called a liar. Having made himself a name as a troublemaker in the past, no one believed his story, especially since he wouldn't give out that his siblings had initially stolen it. He was thus found guilty of treason. Not having completed training, Razid counted as a minor which reduced his punishment from death to torture followed by banishment.
After the punishment, Razid was granted a single day to rest within the pack before being officially banished. He had hoped for his siblings to meet him outside the territory after his banishment, but they never showed up. Razid's mind and will had been broken, striving the lands aimlessly as a loner, spending the nights singing mourning songs of remorse and loneliness. The young wolfs faithfulness had come close to it's limit. He managed to bypass starvation through a special hunting/trapping technique for rabbits he invented, which ensured to give him a daily meal.
Vintrigs
His luck took a turn when he managed to squeeze in with a new pack - the Vintrigs. Razid initially found difficulty in finding new friends. The now 'scout' often sneaked out of the packs territory during nights, practicing his singing near waterfalls where his voice couldn't be heard by others, due to the thundering water. It didn't take long until one of the Vintrigs members discovered Razids secret passion. The well respected and often feared Minister of the pack, Dante, had discovered Raz's Vocals during the night. From there on Razid would find the minister right behind him whenever he snuck out; who aimed not to stop Raz, but to listen in.
Several weeks passed and the famous yearly Florentes flower festival took place. The flowers bloomed during this time of the year and the pack members would gift eachother flowers, every flower representing a different emotion that one felt towards the other. It was there that Dante gifted Raz a self crafted crown filled with flowers that represented love. - Razid ran off from the festival, being overwhelmed by emotions. Dante would follow soon after, the two of them meeting on an tiny island within a large lake. There, Raz accepted Dantes confession, becoming his partner.
Bound to Dante, Razid found a change in attitude towards the pack, becoming more involved within it. He proved himself during a bear attack aswell as during the event of human hunters discovering their territory. This caused him to jump through ranks until he eventually was in a position to challenge the current Outrider (lead scout) to a spar for their rank. To Razid's surprise, the lead scout willingly stepped down from his position when he challenged him and thus he became the new Outrider. The time in the pack took a turn to the worse when the Alpha deceased, handing down the title to a wolf that Razid had always viewed a weakling.
The pack started breaking apart. The members didn't follow their new leader, but feared to overthrow while Dantes loyalty lay with the Alpha. Raz eventually confronted Dante about this issue, though they'd end their discussion on agreeing to disagree. When their food stash ran low and sickness started to plague the pack, Razid chose to flee, choosing life over blatant loyalty.
